We have a wide range of groups within the parish, providing for spiritual needs, promoting social justice, having fun, supporting people in need, and helping to look after the church and grounds.

The Parish of Sacred Heart North Gosforth is committed to Adult Faith Formation in order to bring about spiritual growth and transformation in our lives as individuals and as a community. We seek to work through the power of the Holy Spirit to make our faith more meaningful and relevant to everyday life. Meetings are held on Zoom.

Dance class at the Sacred Heart Church Hall takes place on Friday morning at 11 am. It is based on gentle strengthening ballet exercises, and is a chance to dance to great music. There is something for every ability.

Sacred Heart SVP Conference was founded in 1931 and has been active ever since, undertaking a range of work in the Parish. The SVP tries to assist all those in need on a person to person basis, regardless of their faith, colour, race or status.

SVP meets regularly on Tuesday evenings.

Irish dancing classes

Irish dancing classes with Craig Mason in the Church hall, Wednesday evenings between 6:30-7.30PM for boys and girls aged 4+.

Amateur dramatics with the main production being an annual pantomime. Everyone welcome whether you can sing, dance, act, paint scenery, make costumes, play a musical instrument – or not!

We are a friendly group that meets every Monday morning during term time in the Church Hall from 9:30 am to 1100 am. Babies and toddlers under 3 years old are welcome. Cost £2 per child.

The Church Hall.

Many of the Parish Groups meet in the Church Hall, which was built in 1999. It is situated in the church grounds, connected to the church. Whilst it is used extensively, it may sometimes be available for private functions.
